Webb Black Simmentals was founded in 2006 and grew to a herd of more than 400 pure and grade Black Simmentals. The stud became an industry leader, setting an Australian on-property auction record in 2011 of $15,500 for Webb Enigma E323, eclipsing that in 2012 with $17,000 paid for Webb Ironman F512. In 2015 a decision was made to cut numbers and a large proportion of the herd were sold privately to Woonallee Simmentals in South Australia.
Now we have a smaller Black Simmental stud herd and grown our commercial operation. We are focusing on sourcing the best genetics worldwide to suit the Australian industry. Recently we have added to our stud operation with a small Charolais herd in partnership with Tambo River Charolais. Furthermore we also run a first cross ewe operation with 700 breeders.
